Students in Fellowship of Christian Athletes met on November 9 and heard from Jake Venatta, CHS Industrial Arts teacher and CMS Basketball Coach. Jake spoke to the students about confidence. He explained that they must go into each game or life situation with the right mindset, or they will be defeated before they begin. David, despite his small stature and everyone telling him that he could not defeat Goliath, stepped out in faith and allowed God to use him. Just like David, each of us must face each challenge with confidence and give it our all. He encouraged the students to stay faithful and know with confidence that whatever is happening in their lives, good or bad, God has a plan and will use it for His good.
Students enjoyed breakfast provided by an anonymous donor.
The next meeting will be Thursday, December 14, with guest speaker Jonathan Flier, CHS senior athlete.
